This week I feature the Legal Websites of Arizona.   I have some extra insight here since I was a FindLaw consultant in Phoenix from 2005 to 2011.   FindLaw is still the King in with 98 total websites in Arizona (41 Templates and 57 Custom Sites).   However, there are at least 167 Arizona firms that once had a Findlaw site.  Ouch!

Tale of Tape AZ

The distribution of sites in AZ has some notable outliers.  For one Justia is a very low number of websites (8) in Arizona.  Massachusetts, which has a similar population as Arizona, has 58 Justia sites.  The biggest reason for that has been the lack of SEO success for Arizona Justia sites.  Whereas, in cities like Boston and Chicago, a few Justia clients have enjoyed great ranking success in competitive practice areas.  This has led to a herd mentality of lawyers going to Justia.  This has not happened in AZ.

Two local companies made the top 10 in terms of # of sites in Arizona –  Lawlytics in Tucson and Ivio in Phoenix.   Both do a really good job and provide a professional website at an affordable price.  iLawyermarketing has a lot of sites in Arizona when you consider they have a semi-exclusive model.   Normally focused on personal injury, their sites have managed to dominate a number of smaller niches in Phoenix – Employment Law, Workers Comp, Securities Law, Legal Malpractice, Business Law, Medical Malpractice, Burn Injury, Insurance Bad Faith etc…  It also helps that I live here.    Incredibly they have no websites in Tucson.

Best Arizona Legal Designs
In 2017 there were some great sites released in Arizona.  My top two favorites are the Corso Law Group from iLawyermarketing and Hirsch & Lyon from Paperstreet.   The Corso site, which I featured above, is a programming tour de force, with multiple slick interactive design elements throughout the site.  The site also incorporates some outstanding custom photography.   Hirsch & Lyon’s site below is also very impressive.  One highlight is how their “No Recovery, No Fee” button pulsates every few seconds – bringing the eye to their phone number and contact form.   Very clever.

Honorable Mention
Mayes Telles (Scorpion) – The successful criminal practice upgraded their existing site.  A highlight is the interactive carousel of lawyers on the home page.
Bishop Law Office (iLawyermarketing)- Far and away the best new Family Law site in Arizona, like any high level ilawyermarketing site, the site is loaded with interactive design elements
Browne Law Group: Clean and sharp, with a unforgettable home page image……A tatted lawyer with sleeves ripped off, doing curls with law books.
The Country Lawyer P.C, (Scorpion) – Scorpion upgraded their long time Sierra Vista client in 2017, proving you don’t have to be in Phoenix or Tucson to have a great looking site.
Surrano Law Offices (iLawyermarketing) – Released in early 2015, this site still holds up as one of the best insurance bad faith sites in the country.  The site also features one of the better videos you will see on an attorney site.

Most in Need of an Upgrade:
After combing through well over a thousand Arizona sites, the honor of most in need of a website upgrade goes to the Gravina Law Office.  Is that Christmas wrapping paper?  The photo album section contributes to the Christmas Card feel.

I am pointing this out because in 2017 there is really no excuse for an attorney to not have a professional looking site.  We know from our research that that average consumer will look at least 5 websites before making a decision to contact one of them.   There are numerous lower cost alternatives and even do it yourself options that would give you a professional looking web presence.   To see your options, this post shows all the new PI website designs released by over 70 legal website competitors in 2017.
